beats a banana hammock by a couple inches May 31, 2008 floundering flipper (California) 12 out of 13 found this review helpful
I swim a couple of miles a week and have been using one of the long legged suits. I thought the shorter version would be comfortable and give me a few more inches of tan on my legs.
To quote George Bush:
Mission Accomplished.
Except I'm right.
And people should always look for the Endurance models for their swim suit choices because they are the only line that stands up to the rigors of chlorine that public pools use.
Excellent June 8, 2008 Lyon (Philly, PA USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I have used it for three weeks and it's really good for professional swimmers. It's lucky that I ordered a size larger and now it fits me well.
A good product August 5, 2008 K. J. O'BYRNE (Ajijic, Mexico) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Unlike another speedo swimsuit I purchased and reviewed, the size is accurate and does not run small. So, you would be advised to order your regular size. The swimsuit appears to be well-made. I'm satisfied with it.
I like this swimsuit better than I thought I would October 15, 2009 Edward Durney (San Francisco) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Being just a rather casual swimmer at our local gym, I've always had a swimsuit designed more for the beach than the pool. When my old suit got too old and tore (while I was getting out of the pool, to my embarrassment), I decided to try something a little different.
When I got this swimsuit, it came in a small cardboard box. Remembering its price, I was a little surprised. If the money goes for materials, the square-inch price of the fabric they use must be awfully high. (If the fabric lasts as long as they say it will, the higher price should be worth it.)
But I had wanted to try something different. This swimsuit is indeed that. It seems well made. The fabric stretches only a little, so it is a tight fit. When I first tried it on, my wife chuckled a little. That was her only comment. Looking in the mirror, I could see why she laughed. The suit looks like a sausage skin, and above and below it, my bulges became bigger.
But at the pool, nobody seems to notice. I've only worn it three times so far, so I can't comment on durability. But I like the feel. For pool swimming, it feels much better than my bulky old suit did. Yet I feel far from naked. The feeling is nice.
True To Its Name... it lasts forever! April 21, 2009 James Littlefield (Atlanta, GA United States) I've been swimming 3 times a week for the past 8 years and switched to Speedo Endurance suits early last year. Previously I bought Speedo Lycra suits on sale. Now swimming in my second Endurance suit, I highly recommend them to regular swimmers. Though they cost a little more, they last much longer than Lycra suits.
My first Speedo Endurance was a brief which is still wearable though the lining finally disintegrated after a year. Even without the lining nothing "shows" because the fabric is thicker than regular Speedo fabric.
I purchased a square cut version because I personally like the looks better than a brief cut. I've even gotten complements on it, which is unusual for masters swimmers! Just my preference, I would recommend both.
