Speedo - All about quality July 13, 2005 Jason (Northwestern University) 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
I have owned this drag suit for about six months and it is still as nice (not discolored in the slightest) as it was when I first bought it. Six months is not an extremely long amount of time, but when you consider that it lasted through a three month swim season with two hour practices 6 days a week, in a pool filled with chlorine, the quality is undeniable. The Speedo company has proven that it designs quality products and this drag suit is no exception.
Very satisfied May 27, 2008 W. Hoffmann (Philly) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
After discarding two previously purchased swim trunks due to poor fit and fading color, I purchased these to great satisfaction. They fit well, the color does not fade, and they dry quickly. I highly recommend them.
Dear Non-Competitive Swimmers February 18, 2010 Andrew W 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
... or people who aren't interested in swimming for exercise:
This is not the type of swim suit you'd wear to the beach, or even to the pool if you're not planning on doing laps. The whole point of wearing these baggy things is so that water gets caught between the mesh and the inner layer of the suit providing a greater drag force which requires you to use more force to swim faster. Basically, these are used for lap training. People who swim competitively wear these during practice (or maybe even in meets where they're sure they'll win :P) and take them off when speed counts (ie big meets). Try swimming with these and a Speedo on and compare it to wearing just a Speedo; there's a noticeable difference in how easy it is to move around.
That said, these are great. I didn't start using one until a few years into my competitive life but once I did start I loved it. It easily provides a nice amount of drag without it being too bulky (ie wearing a weight belt) or anything.
Perfect fit and of quality! May 25, 2007 Swimmer84 (Maryland, USA) The fit is perfect to give you some modesty as well as flattery. The color scheme of red and blue is a nice pairing.
A great suit. July 26, 2007 Matthew I'd get another one tomorrow if something happened to the suit I have today. Swimming in trunks feels like swimming with a garbage bag tied around my waist compared to this.
